Massive coils of dark muscle erupted from the foam, slick with seaweed and ancient slime. The ship groaned as a tentacle wrapped around the mainmast, dragging them sideways into the trough. "Cannons!" she roared over the wind, but the beast lunged again, its maw opening wide enough to swallow the vessel whole. In that moment, there were no factions, only survival.

The Kraken serves as a primal force of nature rather than an organized group with human leadership or political goals. Unlike the Gold Hoarders or Order of Souls, this entity possesses no headquarters, currency, or hierarchy to exploit. Its sole objective is the destruction of sailing vessels that venture too far into its dominion over the deep waters. Crews encounter this beast as a random world event, appearing without warning when sailing near open ocean zones.
